72 golfers participated in Magnus Pacific's annual golf tournament, raising over $16,000 for St. Jude's Childrens Research Hospital, and $6,000 for the Construction Institute's Scholarship Fund. Thank you to all of our 27 sponsors that made the event successful.

Magnus Pacific Supports the Graduate Program at Fresno State University
The graduate program at Fresno State developed rapidly in the recent years, thanks to the support from the University and the regional industry and agencies. A highlight of the recent developments is Dr. Xiao's research project "Slurry-induced piping progression and the prevention measures" funded by Magnus Pacific Corporation. The practical research collaboration between Louay Owaidat, President of Magnus Pacific Corporation, and Dr. Ming Xiao, Assistant Professor of Geotechnical Engineering at Fresno State, aims to investigate the mechanisms of the piping (internal erosion) progression of levees possibly caused by slurries during slurry-wall instal-lation and how to prevent such piping progression. This project involves under-graduate and graduate students at Fresno State.
